Nina Kindt Wilson
Nina Kindt Wilson is in her 33rd year of teaching elementary music in the Wichita Public Schools. For Nina, there is nothing better than children joyfully singing together. In her career, she has directed the OK Elementary Singing Panthers, Wichita Northwest Area Honors Choirs, Bel Canto Youth Chorale, MidAmerica Kodály Music Educators Conference Youth Choir, and the Wichita All-City 5th grade Honors Choirs. A nationally certified Kodály teacher, Nina has served on the Kodály Music Educators of Kansas board and currently serves as the chairperson for the Recognitions and Award committee for the Organization of American Kodály Educators. She regularly presents workshops on using the mountain dulcimer, integrating jazz, using traditional Irish songs and tunes, and choral and vocal techniques in the elementary music curriculum. When not teaching, Nina enjoys playing music with the Great Plains Dulcimer Alliance.
