ClinicianKatie Pretz
Katie Pretz currently teaches K-12 Vocal Music at Bluestem Elementary and Bluestem Junior/Senior High School in Leon, KS. Katie has directed the music for both the McPherson Community Theater Summer Stage Camp and the McPherson Community Theater productions. As a performer Mrs. Pretz spent a season singing with the Wichita Grand Opera. She began her teaching career at Abilene Middle School working with choirs, piano and guitar classes, and has since maintained a private studio of voice, piano and guitar students. Katie holds bachelor and master degrees in Music Education.

Oct. 27 - Participation Fees due with invoice, $15 per selected participant
Nov. 4 - Late Participation fees due (with invoice), $30 per selected participant

Nominations
- Entries are submitted in the KMEA Members site
- Each teacher selects their own quartet selection from 7th and 8th grades.
- Each school is allowed to register 1 Soprano, 1 Alto, 1 Tenor, and 1 Bass. Those 4 spots are guaranteed.
- There will be alternates provided by schools to add numbers if we do not receive enough entries.
- It is the expectation that the participating students will have the music learned before they arrive.
